In B.C., graduates of an accredited level II dental assisting program who have successfully completed the National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) written exam are eligible for certification with the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia CDSBC, while graduates from a non-accredited dental assisting program must successfully complete both the written and clinical portions of the NDAEB exam to be eligible for certification with CDSBC.
Students study oral facial science, all elements of dental care, pharmacology, oral pathology and dental radiography. along with other core dentistry subjects. CDI College's Dental Assisting program is accredited by the Commission of Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC).
